I was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2000. This last session I was the lead democrat on the Judiciary Policy and Finance Committee. In the past, I have chaired the Telecommunications Committee which addressed cable, TV, telephone and internet issues. I also serve on committees that examine public safety, civil justice, commerce and labor issues.
I am married to Ann Daly, a school teacher. I have two adult daughters, Renee and Eva. I live in an old Victorian House overlooking Pig's Eye Lake.
